Regarding festival committee

Respected All,
I am living in one of the co-op hsg society in dombivli. Our society registered before 1.5 years and along with the managing committee one festival committee is also in the society. As i get the information from one of the member of the society that there is no any control of managing committee on festival committee. No any accounts is merged with the account of society. No any signatures on the notice and receipts provided by the festival committee.
I require your help, As a member how I get the information regarding accounts of festival committee? Is managing committee is also responsible for not controlling or not maintaining any accounts of festival committee? How they stick the notice on the society notice board without any signature? Its require permission of the managing committee to put the notice on notice board?

Sir,
[1] The Managing Committee has no right to collect any amount except valid maintenance charges permitted by the CHS Bye-Laws.
[2] Any member can demand copies of the accounts of the Society from the Managing Committee by written application.
[3] In your case, if you are a member, you may send an application requesting copies of accounts of the society, stating that you are willing to pay the charges prescribed in the CHS Bye-Laws for the copies of accounts.

How the festival committee was formed? Is there any provision in bye laws of the society or AGM resolution passed.
Write letter to society to clear the position of festival committee. collection / accounts of this committee whether approved by society?

in the forthcoming AGM raise the issue as to festival committee . why are no accounts prepared for funds collected by FC . there is no such provision in bye laws for formation of FC

Thanks for your replies. One more question, if Managing Committee has no right to collect any amount except valid maintenance charges, How festival charges collected from the members? If managing committee clears that we have no any control over Festical committee and they done such collection at there own? and If managing committee refuse to provide the account of FC then what is the next step for me.

As I already informed that our society is registered before 1.5 years. How can I demand the accounts prior to that. Whether any balance sheet or audit of the previous period is necessery?

Sir,
[1] You can demand copies of accounts from the Managing Committee from the date of registration of the Society till date.
[2] No member should pay the charges demanded by the so called Festival Committee.
[3] The Managing Committee is the executive body elected by the members of the society at the AGM, and it is the only legal body to manage and oversee the administration of the society. It may, if necessary, form subordinate committees to help them. However such committees are subordinate and are totally responsible to the Managing Committee.

Thanks a lot kishorji, What about the accounts prior to registration, same committee is called ad-hoc committee at that time who collect the maintanance from us.

Rightly observed by expert Mr. Jagga Rao that the author is consistently asking the same question which is nothing but trivial though he was given a clear picture about the events and what is to be done.
The festival committee and other sundry committees are the crafty works of some vested interests to earn quick monies through such sources, beware of he situation, until you donot protest, you may not find a respite for this.
