Sorry in one matter lot study was done and it was found by some exp. adv that it can not be changed. Means even if you marry another caste person , the person whose caste is at birth will remain same. Generally, such matters come because after marriage to a different caste, like open marrying SC /OBC etc, if open want to have privileges of SC/OBC they are not given benefit. Now moving from one category to another may cause lot legal complication in future . Some time in education or Govt service there is more space for SC and less for Economic Backward Class so changing can cause lot complication.

Additionally you say you are SC fact is that SC have more benefit than other caste according to me , even age for govt service entry is more . So I think your thinking from that line may not be practical.

Now due to matrimonial purpose you want to change , I will give you other suggesstion give some govt. exam etc. your chances of getting job may be more and once you get chances of your matrimonial prospect too will be high.

And those who reject on one or other pretext in marriage proposal . You do anything round the world they will reject it this is fact .

You cannot change your caste. For marriage if you became rich you may get good proposals from any caste.

If at all you wish to change your particular caste the only option would be converting the religion. For Example once a person gets converted to Christian religion he would become MBC and simultaneously he would be denied of all the benefits of his caste.
