Query related to housing society matter

(Querist) 18 April 2014 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir,

We have a lady member who owns a flat on her name(single owner), now can she add her married daughter or her son-in -law as associate member of the society. Kindly guide us whether the society can accept them as associate member or does the society have any right to deny them without any reason?

Thanx and regards
Secretary

Society can induct them as Associate Member especially if bye-laws of the same makes such provision.

All depends on bye-laws of the society. Go through them.

You can check the byelaws of that society. If the act of the landlady is against the bye law raise it in the AGM.

if society bye laws accept induction of relatives as associate members, the society can certainly induct such associate members and in the process collect some membership money and make the society rich.

Well advised by experts, nothing more to add.
