For what purpose, intention and through which media/ source you want to publish?
K K S V SOMESWAR (Querist) 29 May 2017
Sir, in the interest of public the information has to be sent to newspapers since more than 100 crores of NPA is there and just three officials are responsible for the same.
Guest (Expert) 29 May 2017
Do you have any evidence about the three officials considered to be responsible for the npa? Also, whether you want to expose the names of those three officials or only the info received through RTI?
K K S V SOMESWAR (Querist) 29 May 2017
just basing on the official letter given by the Appellate Authority of the bank under RTI Act Sir. In the letter it was clearly mentioned about each official's name, No. of accounts and NPA amount.

Agree with Experts
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 30 May 2017
Not able to agree or disagree.

The information given under RTI Act is believed to be the one whose disclosure is not barred by section 8 and there seems to be no harm in sharing the same with anyone.

If the information is false then the defamation can an lie on PIO and not on the person who received it.

thanks to all experts for good advice

Welcome Please
Guest (Expert) 30 May 2017
I disagree with Mr. Sudhir Kumar. The source of defamation would be the person, who publishes the information for wide circulation, apparently with the intention to harm reputation of the individuals, not the PIO, who does not know for what pupose the individual has sought the information.

Rest depends upon you to decide by applying your own mind.
