Police verification for armed forces

(Querist) 18 April 2014 This query is : Resolved
Sir , i am a final year engg student and have passed through the selection procedure of the army and airforce. I had an accident last year in which an FIR was lodged against me for rash driving and causing injury. Now the police verification is in process. Is there any chance of my getting through the verification process and joining the armed forces?

Such case should not pose any hindrance to get the job.
P. Venu (Expert) 19 April 2014
The incident does not involve moral turpitude and hence there is no problem in clearing the police verification.
Dr J C Vashista (Expert) 19 April 2014
There is no problem in getting police verification, if this is the only FIR pending trail.

Biswanath Roy (Expert) 19 April 2014
If due to rush driving grievous injury or death was not occurred and simply you are an FIR named accused it will not affect police verification.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 20 April 2014
Charges for the offences of rash and negligent driving will not be a hurdle in the police verification report for employment in the Armed forces.
