Police verification

(Querist) 10 December 2016 This query is : Resolved
I recieve a phone call twice in a month duration from local police station. The police man said that he dont know how my mob. number came in his contact list. He was dailing for another Gaurav. He didnot specified his surman bt he specified some other local area. Coincidentally my name is also Gaurav. I am worried. why did he called twice. Is there chance that any complaint is registered on me by someone. Six months ago i had a fight with one of my friend. Is it possible that he registered a complaint against me?

Nothing understood what you want.
Ms.Usha Kapoor (Expert) 10 December 2016
Ask the policeman himself what is it all about.your friend filing a case for a fight for injuries he sustained may have been remote. It could be another Gaurav.IF YOU APPRECIATE THIS ANSWER PLEASE GIVE ME ALL MY PROFILE LIKES.

When the policeman himself told that that the call is erroneously made, why do you worry? Forget and live peacefully.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 10 December 2016
Record the dates/time of call.....

If you are perturbed visit police station and check if any complaint was registered against you ( full name/address etc).

@ Mr Jaggarao

Gaurav (Querist) 10 December 2016
Not really. No more fact. I m worried because the person with whom i had that fight, have a political background. And other thing that worries me is, how come that policeman have my number? Is it possible that he lodged a complaint against me? I have to under go police verification for my government job in few months.
Gaurav (Querist) 10 December 2016
I m really thankfull to all of you that you took some time to reply my querry..
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 10 December 2016
Nothing to worry if the policeman himself has agreed that the call was due to mistake.

You are welcome.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 10 December 2016
You can still verify at your end.
Guest (Expert) 10 December 2016
If at all you are Very much Worried and Ready to Spend Consult a Local Good Criminal Side Senior Advocate and Apply for Anticipatory Bail in your State High Court. There the Concerned Police would Come to Court to Confirm whether Any Complaint is Pending Or Not.If they Say No complaint Pending your Anticipatory Bail application would be Rejected Or If any Complaint is there the AB would be Granted and Let your Advocate handle the Case.Any how you would be Safe what ever it may be.

Inquire/verify at your end.

Munshi in Thana can let you know.
RTI is another route.

HC as pointed out by Mr. N.J.S.Rajkumar is another perspective.

If you find that one complaint was lodged then check if was entered in Rojanmacha ( Register) or not.........Or DDR/FIR has been lodged or not....

If there is a complaint get acquitted.

Your own counsel at your location can help you.

A cockfight might get termed as Minor Indiscretion.

However, if you want to be firm, use RTI to get information.

Can take help of local lawyer.
