Permission for going abroad

I am a central govt employee. I want to know how many days before we have to apply for permission for going abroad for the visa on arrival countries.

You could apply for permission very well in advance of your Travel also. Generally for Central Govt employees the Permission should be granted with in 21 days of the application been made.

Sir, I have applied 45 days before the date of travel. They asked me to reschedule my travel and asked me to inform the dept 75 days prior to the date of travel. What should I do then, I have already booked the tickets.

There is no stipulated time frame. Depends upon the merits of the urgency of case.

For visiting abroad, you have to obtain permission from the HOD for Visa. After receipt of Visa, again you have to submit application informing the approximate date of journey. There are proforma s for the purpose. consult the senior of the Dept.
