One and the same person affidavit

My fiance name is Ritu Agarwal, and post marriage her name will be changed to Rinku Agarwal. I have made some flight bookings by the name as Rinku Agarwal. So is there any way by which this problem will be solved. Whether an affidavit will work? If yes then please let me know the procedure for the same.

You cannot give any nickname like 'pintu', babloo etc., while booking such tickets, especially when the passengers will be let into the airport only after checking the identify card.

Even after marriage, unless the name gets changed as per established procedure, you cannot use such fresh names.

Therefore, please get the flight ticket currently booked in the name of Rinku cancelled and then book afresh with the real name of the passenger. Submitting affidavit will not work.

What can be done to get the name changed as per the law. I have 10 days for the same.

Officially chg name.. It's OK for this purpose to travel on this name.. as it seems national flights [ not international where PASSPORT & VISA REQD]

For name change you should get an affidavit sworn, news paper and gazette insertion. Also file marriage registration accordingly and get the copy of filed papers.

even for domestic flights you need identity card of your wife reflecting name on which flight is booked . agree with Mr anirudh . cancel tickets
