My husband got offer letter from capgemini and was expected to join on 20th Oct,2016 at Chennai MIPL. But he was told that background verification is not updated and wil let him know the new joining date soon. But from then he dint receive any call or mail from the company. Also there is no reply for any calls or emails from us. How to deal with dis problem? Kindly do suggest the needful at the earliest. Because due to the joining here my husband also resigned the previous company he was working. Now he is jobless and mentally so stressed

Apparently; The new employer and it HR personnel are unwilling to communicate the cancellation of offer in writing.
Is it stated in offer letter that BGV shall be conducted during the offer period and if it fails due to untruthful statement in resume or adverse comments etc the offer shall stand cancelled?
Has the notice period expired?
Has the resignation been accepted in writing?
Has the past employer issued BGV?
Is there anything adverse in it?
You seem to have sent some emails.

He should search for some other job, employer may not be interested to appoint.

There are many thread o similar queries at LCI.
Some authors/querists posted that the next employer that issued offer agreed to compensate/accommodate.
Was it conveyed that employee may resign to join on dated;........?
