Need to know procedure to registration documents for house(built around 1960's)

(Querist) 25 November 2015 This query is : Resolved
Respected Sir/Madam,

I'm Ganesh Kumar from Kurnool(Kurnool Municipalitiy Corporation), Andhra Pradesh. Currently my grand mother have problems with our relatives(Dayadi) who want to occupy her house. Recently we have made some alterations to the house and I could see there were no registration papers on the same. They have very old agreements between their fore fathers(father of my grand father with his brothers). Now our relatives(Dayadi) are saying the entire place belongs to them and we don't have right to live in the house. They even attacked my family members and police were involved to settled down.

Now I want to know the procedure for getting registration papers for the place in 1960's and built small house in 1980's, recently it was rebuilt again. Kindly let me know the details on the procedure.

Thanks in Advance!!!

Ganesh Kumar G,
Kurnool,
Andhra Pradesh.

How long have you been in occupation/possession of the property.

Any, file a civil suit and obtain injunction against the other party not to disturb your possession.

Police have no jurisdiction to interfere in a civil dispute; they are bound to protect you if the other party takes the law in their hands.

Proceed to obtain injunction and documents as advised by Experts.

You have an agreement in your hands and may have the benefit of adverse possession too.

Before you proceed on your own approach a competent, genuine, senior, able lawyer specializing in such/family/property/revenue/civil matters and well versed with local state laws and show all documents on record and understand the merits and remedies.

You may also obtain the mutation records from local revenue office.

Keep some unshakable witnesses if required by your side.

You say: "They have very old agreements between their fore fathers(father of my grand father with his brothers)."

2. It is not clear who you are referring to and how your grandmother is related to them.

2. When you say Dayadi, it is not clear (i) who are they and (ii) on what basis they claim that the property is theirs.

Only if you can give information on the above two points, it will be possible to give appropriate answer to your query.

You are not even able to understand what problem you are facing neither you are knowing if there are any document to support your claim. You have not furnished proper information but are seeking opinion on a vague idea.
It appears you have already approached advocates locally but are not informing their opinion to this issue neither you are discussing actual problem.
Better come out with details if you really wish to get proper opinion as per law.

Hello Sir,

I'm currently living out of India and guided my parents to get the required documents as per suggestions made by experts over here. They have contacted known person municipal corporation with xerox copies of agreements. He referred us to his friend who works in Kurnool registrar office.
Registrar officer took challan fee to get original documents and asked us to wait for a week.

Thank you for kind guidance.

Thank,
Ganesh Kumar G
