Name not printed on my birth certificate

Hiii i am Subhro Das born in calcutta in the year 1984,my birth certificate was issued from kolkata municipal corporation where my name didnt print only my parents name,date of birth,place etc printed.due to one of our family members negligence or corporation fault my name was not printed. so my question is that if there is any law regarding issue a fresh birth certificate with my name printed on it or please suggest me what can i do now because where i appointed for job they want to see and verify my original Birth certificate to tally it with my madhyamick Admit card Date of birth...Please suggest me what can i do now??

By the time your birth was registered, your parents might not have given you the name. But they have correctly registered your birth. If your parents are alive, they can file an affidavit with Municipal corporation for incorporation of name now. Date birth recorded on Madhyamik Admit Card is the final proof. It need not be compared with the birth certificate. Even if they wish to compare, your parents name is there on the record. They should not have any objection.

Visit the Municipal corporation, know the procedure to enter the name at this stage, complete the formality and get the name entered in your birth records. You can get birth certificate containing your name afterwards.

Section 14 provides for registration of the child's name, if the birth had been originally registered without name, in accordance with the prescribed norms. You may contact the authority concerned and ascertain the procedure to be followed.
