The cheques were given by me as a security.against for gambling. He has done case on me saying i have taken loan cash of rs 11 lakhs from him . Plz help me should i do

You have to defend very strongly and smartly.. you have to prove that the cheque was with that person without any consideration and not against any loan. Act smart and defend strong.

I agree that once the cheque is issued then it is your liability to pay .. but your case is worth defending as per the details mentioned by you. As the transaction towards the consideration is suspicious and the payment as you said has been made by cash and too with such big amount. It is not easy for the complainant in your case to prove the transaction before the court. I am still on my opinion that you have to defend strongly with the help of a good lawyer.

One date I have appeared in court. Next date is on 29th march. My lawyer says they can't prove such a big amount as a hand loan.
