Kishor Mehta (Expert) 05 May 2016
Sir,
[1] Both the POA should mention that POA are given to two persons with their identifications. It is advisable to state the reason for executing more than one POA.
[2] If one of the POAs is executed at a later date, in which instance the later POA should contain mention that a previous POA is executed, and the reason for the later POA.
Good Luck,
Kishor Mehta

No need to furnish reasons for appointing two POAs. The POA should state that X and y are appointed as ur agents jointly or severally to act on ur behalf.

get the POA drafted by an advocate

Yes, you can appoint any number of attorney holders for different causes. However, a new power of attorney given to another person after giving the same to other for the same cause on that event, the previous attorney executed will be come powerless.

Two years old query, Mr. Asgher Mehdi!

With due respect and without any intention of creating a controversy, I write that simply creating another POA favouring a person, does not necessarily cancel the previously granted POA to other person. There are specific laws laid down, that have to be followed. to cancel a POA.
Guest (Expert) 03 May 2018
POA with conflicting overlapping powers for assets or management of personal affairs/ transactions on behalf of the donor or granter of POA to two different persons should be avoided at all the costs. That can jeopardize the issues and may lead to the cause of conflicts between the POA holders and can become headache for the donor of power..

Secondly, unless due process of law is applied, even after the execution of the transaction by one POA holder, the other POA holder for the same cause, function, business, activity or transaction, if granted, cannot become powerless till the death of the granter of the power, rather that can become the cause of conflicts.
