My sister married to a army officer in 2009.It was an arrange marriage.All was well till the birth of their first child but after the birth her husbsnd started issuing with her, complaining on small issues becomd his nature, he started asking divorce from her and started comparring her with other ladies and started living in separate room one night he beaten her up and through her out of the house with small kid, after thr interferance of elders and his seniors they again started live together but again her husband started the same thing, one day my sister found out that he has registered himself on matrimonial sites and dating sites, after that he has started taking to other girls in front of her when she object he again physically abused her but this time he did it publically. Now she has left his govt accomoation and come to our parents place...Please suggest us what action we can take against him. And please tell us the max time of period till then we can take action against him

She can file criminal complaint before the police for harassment and teasing along-with return of the stridhan.
She should also make a detailed complaint to CO of her husband and should demand 50% amount of his salary as the amount of maintenance. She should also send a representation seeking assistance from Army Officers Wives association (regd) who has been assigned with various power to see such matters.
Right to maintenance and Dv Act are additional options.

She should file criminal complaint of domestic violence against him.
Also personally meet CO and inform in writing.

Before leaving the service quarter of her husband , could have complained to CO about his cruelty suffered by your sister. If not late, inform his CO about his behavior with his wife. Can also file DV case against him.

DV case can be filed even after months / discuss with your lawyer.

Koi time limit nhi hai. Lekin aapko jaldi se jaldi file karne se fayda hoga kyunki aapke pati ka transfer kabhi bhi ho sakta hai aajkal ke halat me kidhar bhi aur fir unko summon receive krane me dikkat ho jayegi.
