Hi ,

Could any one helpme out , my husband has left me and my two daughters 9 tha nd 4 th since 4 yrs i have filed maintanance 2013 still no judgement may be in a month or2 i might get judgement ,iamworking woman and stated openly but finding difficulty in taking care of myself and my daughters how much maintanance i could get for my two daughters he is earning morethan 1 and half lakhs

How can we help you in such a situation?

You must have been getting some maintenance during the pendency of the proceedings. If not, did you not seek this relief at all?

Your dufficulty in raising the kids alone is a vital fact and I hope this fact was covered in the pleadings itself.

Judgement is always a slow and agonising process, which every litigant must go through. Have faith and patience....

Have you not been granted interim maintenance? If so, how much is the amount?

What is the opinion and advise of your lawyer, who has full knowledge of facts and circumstances of the case vis-a-vis status of the case and proceedings?

I completely agree with Mr Jahangir and Mr Vashista, but you are also right Mr Nanda.
So far the question is concern Mr Jahangir and Mr Vashista have been express our position over the matter and clarify the position of the matter.
So far the question related to the award the Court may award 1/2 of the total income of the husband highest as 2 daughters are there. But again question arise regarding the income of the wife as she is working.
Still I am in dark.

Maintenance would be provided for daughters if wife is working. It would decided by the court after taking in consideration of all the facts.

Thank you all for replies now i dont have fees amont with me as of now he is saying he wud pay 10k per daughter and we settle this maintanance case in lok adalat for 10 k where as my next maintanance case date is aug26 so shd i accept what he is saying

If the amount of maintenance is reasonable to you then you can very sell settle it amicably.
