I am a residential tenant of a flat.
My building is going in for redevelopment,
and once completed will be given ownership flat. The agreeement for the new flat will be registered before I vacate my tenanted premises, but it states new flat will be given in 36 months after vacating.

My query is : Will my tenancy continue till new flat is ready ?

Technically yes till you get the possession. If you are not then you are entitled to be restored with the tenanted portion.

Your status after signing the agreement gets changed from the tenant to the would be owner.

You are converting tenancy to ownership by an agreement, so the conditions governing the agreement is o be seen for proper opinion. consult a local lawyer and get his opinion.
