Legal standing of a handwritten will

(Querist) 26 April 2017 This query is : Resolved
Does a handwritten will needed to be registered to become a valid legal document ?
Guest (Expert) 26 April 2017
Registered or unregistered, a handwritten will in the handwriting of the will maker is much more genuine, reliable, and valid in law, provided it is not proved otherwise to have been got written by anyone forcibly, under some pressure or compelled by blackmailing tactics.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 26 April 2017
It is not mandatory to register a valid WILL, handwritten or not.

Kumar Doab (Expert) 26 April 2017
A registered WILL may not be set aside on the counts of authenticity.

Prefer to register the WILL.
