Is my friend Degree valid(regular)

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 19 March 2018 This query is : Resolved
Sir,
With due respect, I ask that, my friend completed final year btech while doing a central government job having qualification 10+2. He kept medical leave for a year and completed btech. He is a very bright student. He wants to write other exams with Qualification of Graduation. He wants to write exams like ibps po, RBI assistant etc. Please tell me that whether his degree is valid, will the new recruiting body objects his degree. Can he apply for other government jobs? What if he selects to RBI as RBI assistant,? Will he be given selection. Please kindly clarify, he is very upset with his present job.

Check with the university concerned, the name of which you have not mentioned in your vague query.

Yes it is a vague query. When doing central government he should know the rules. when he was appearing exams why did he not apply for study leave? from which university?

Validity of degree is a matter of record.

A brilliant student completing B Tech doe snot intend to apply for clerical posts.

The degree (as appearing from given facts) has been probably obtained without permission of deptt and classes pursued while being on medical leave. If that is so then the qualification will not be entered in service records (unless HR personnel in deptt are extremely merciful). In that event no application will be forwarded for any post wherein graduation is the qualification/ technical resignation will not be allowed NOC will not be given for such selection.

Degree may be valid, but the brightness of your your student friend is likely to vanish when disciplinary authority would issue charge sheet for submitting fake medical certificate and attending his B.Tech course during leave on medical grounds.

Agreeing with Mr Jigyasu I will add that if university comes to know that he was on medical leave and attending classes/exams they may consider cancellation of degree if they rules so warrant.

further attending higher education without deptt's permission is also a cause of misconduct and disciplinary action can b taken against him by this deptt or by any other deptt he may join in future.
