Is advertisement on transport vehicle legal or taxable.?

Thanks to all experts in advance for bellow quarries-

a) Is there any rule or regulation for advertising on the vehicles like truck, bus, lorry etc. except government vehicles?.
B) If yes, is it taxable business?

Actually i have a TATA tampo whereon i have pasted a big sticker to advertise my own transport business. but on traffic police official stopped my vehicle and ask my driver to remove the sticker else have to pay fine. so here i want to know that under what provision it is barred.

You should have asked the cop about the illegality in tis, he would have convinced you about the provisions of law governing the issue.
