Incorrect pin code in agreement of assignment

(Querist) 02 October 2014 This query is : Resolved
Hello,

We completed agreement of assignment for a flat last week and I found that my lawyer mentioned incorrect pin code in the document.

Same mistake is done while paying for registration fee and stamp duty via online form.

Also age of seller and buyer are slightly different.

What are implications of these mistakes and what should be done to correct these?

Just a clerical error and nothing serious about it.In case of dispute over the said agreement it can be easily interpreted by looking at the terms of the agreement in whole, and correct the error of pin code.
prabhakar singh (Expert) 02 October 2014
Mentioning incorrect pin code of a place in an agreement is not a fatality to the fate of any agreement and it is also true for age of
parties which is always mentioned in approximation just to show that parties are major.

However, if desired,a corrigendum can still be registered.

These are minor mistakes. The small mistake / difference in on line challan would not effect the issue of stamp in correct name. However, if you still want to rectify prepare rectification deed.

Need not have to worry. However, if you wish to correct even these small errors, you can file corrigendum as advised by expert Shri Prabhakar Singh.

No serious issues are attached to such minor clerical errors, just ignore it and proceed with the main subject.
