How to change fathers name

Hi,
This is Samba. I got my fathers name wrongly (Ramarao) updated in all my certificates. It forced me to get the same name Ramarao in my passport also. My fathers original name is Ramakoteswararao. I started getting problems there after. The ration card with original father name and all other certificates including passport with wrongly update name. Please somebody help me how can i change wrongly update my father name(Ramarao) to original name (Ramakoteswararao).

Please indicate whether you have brother(s) or sister(s)? Whether their certificates have correct name?
Whether your father has any property? Whether your father is alive?

What are those problems? When all certificates contain the same name Ido not foresee any problem.
Do you have birth certificate issued by Munipality/Panchayat?
Come with all these deails, I will try to give some solution.

It would be very difficult to change the name at this stage. What type of problems are you facing?

what is name reflected in your birth / school leaving certificate . is your father name clearly mentioned .

Continue recorded name, it cannot be changed.

What are the problems? There cannot be any, as you have already got the passport. If at all there has been any any, an affidavit will take care of the problem.

Thank you all for you overwhelming responses. Yes i do have one brother and one sister who got married and having the correct name in their certificates. Yes My father is alive and have the unshared property. I dont have any birth certificate. I recently got the job at Cognizant BPO they came for verification and asked to show any one original proof, finally could not clear the back ground verification details due to lack of details with original name. Finally decided to try for some governament job. I belong to other back ward class and wanted to apply for OBC certificate but my village officer refused to give me as the same problem.

Your father can make notarized affidavit stating that his name was inadvertently shown as Rama Rao instead of Ramakoteswara Rao as father of mr..... and you are his son born at ....place on .......date. Local advocate can help you in drafting the affidavit.

Yes a standard affidavit duly notarised explaining the error in the name in the certificates will take care of the present situation.

Hi Sir,
As you advised i went to see a local lawyer at my home town last week to apply for affidavit. I explained him my situation but he asked me the purpose of this. When I said him as "i'm trying for some Government jobs, foreseeing the future i don't want get any troubles in future as like what i faced at Cognizant Back Ground verification who rejected offer because of differential father names (Ration card with original name and certificates with wrong name)". The lawyer said AFFIDAVIT will not help in case if it's government job. Please somebody help me what i can do at of this time.

Please clarify me, if i take AFFIDAVIT once with my fathers help, can i use the same AFFIDAVIT through out my life wherever it's required?

No.
On the basis of the affidavit deposed by your father, it is required to be published in 2 newspapers i.e., one English and other local language paper.
Thereafter, your father has to take the newpapers for publication in State Extra ordinary Gazzattee notification, which you can use throught out your life.
On the basis of gazzattee, you can get his (your father's) name changed in any of the document.
