Dear Experts,
Had filed a complaint in Distt. Consumer Forum against delay of 38 days in delivery of registered baggage. Now the airline, in its written reply, has attached a copy of Baggage Irregularity Report (BIR) purporting to have an endorsement "CASE CLOSED. PAX RECVD BAG AT DEL/AP" signed by me. I have neither made this endorsement nor signed it. Should I raise this point in next date fixed for complainant's evidence or should I take some other legal action before the next date?
Thanks & regards

you have to file your rejoinder on next date . you have to deny that any payment was received by you or that you have signed BIR .
you have to specifically state that your signature has been forged .

Isn't it surprising that a big airline should resort to such falsification of documents being submitted in a judicial proceeding because Consumer Forum is deemed to be civil court for the purpose Cr. PC? Doesn't it amount to perjury? Isn't it a criminal offence under IPC for which separate proceedings can be launched?

If they file a false document, it amounts to perjury.
You may read 340 cr.p.c. and 193 ipc.
