Fake commitments by job portal and unavailability of services within time, want my money back

(Querist) 15 October 2014 This query is : Resolved
I have invested Rs 7500 for job alert, resume writing as well as verification process. Within given time, I have not got the service and they have provided fake commitments. How can I demand my money back? Is there any law by which I can force them to refund? If yes, please share the section details under which this can be done.

File a case of cheating. Money suit would not be cost effective.

filing recovery suit for Rs 7500 is not worth it . litigation expenses would far out weigh the chances of recovery . you cna file complaint before consumer forum if you so desire

agreed with Mr Sethi.

Whether you have any job guarantee agreement from them. Rs. 7500/- is not worth filing recovery suit as litigation expenses would be more and recovery may be uncertain. This may be their service charges and may not be job guarantee amount. If they have not written the resume you should proceed to file FIR.

You might have responded to a call on your mobile. It is a lesson for you. Do not respond again for such calls and forget the loss.

First issue a legal notice demanding the money sent by you, if it fails to invoke any response, you may approach the police with a criminal complaint against the fraudster company/people.
