Engg college faculty permanent means

Sir/Madam,
My friend is working as a faculty in engineering college with more than 5 years in the same institution.
faculty strength is more than 200 persons
here they are not providing anything like provident fund, gratuity, ESI etc.
they just pay salary with the deductions of service tax , income tax and transport fare.
they use to show his details as a permanent faculty, in this regard can anyone give me a clarity about the benefits of a permanent faculty.
may I know AICTE norms for a permanent faculty in engineering college

DO they issue salary slip?

Has any appointment letter, contract of employment been issued?

Sir,
Salary slip is given with Basic salary,HRA,DA,Med allowance
but they didn't given anything as family pension, EPF, etc as per sixth pay commission.
however NBA, AICTE inspections are not given any importance on these.
how come they say faculty is permanent.

You have not relied to:
"Has any appointment letter, contract of employment been issued?"............"What is the salary and break up?'
You have posted that:

Why service tax if the relationship is employer-employee?
Is it service tax on say Transport Charges?

Which PF rules apply?
If the wages are with wage ceiling for PF,ESIC then these have to be provided.
Gratuity is applicable and there is no wage ceiling for it.

IN that case NBA, AICTE has to Act.

To satisfy the rules to have permanent affiliation.

There are many united teachers forums.
Take up the issue thru these or petition the regulators/media/ministry etc or unite hands and engage an able counsel specializing in service matters.

Sir,
however this institution also got NBA and now NAAC is about to get.
How this accreditations were provided, that I am feeling shocked.
even university also provided permanent affiliation for this institute.

Take up the issue thru these or petition the regulators/media/ministry etc or unite hands and engage an able counsel specializing in service matters.

What exactly you are interested; TO awe at affiliations, OR To get the affiliations cancelled OR to get the rights of employees restored to employees!
