Ms.Swathi,

The transactions mentioned/noted in the Encumbrance Certificate shall be with reference to the registered deed/transactions if any on the property. If there is an error in the registered deed itself, then the corrections as sought for by you can not made.
Since they are not responding, it is better to apply once again for your confirmation.

The mistake shall be rectified in the Registrar office only. If they will not response, apply to the District/Regional/Zonal officer of Registration Dept. for your problem. and also use RTI.

@ suresh
Good morning sir,
In registered deed the spelling is correct only....and while applying i mentioned the correct spelling....from my part i did all my work correctly....but in the sub registrar office they typed the initial wrong...they typed G.v instead of c.v... actually it's a mistake from the typer side...i applied to correct it...but now they are telling that we wont correct...if you want it get corrected just apply for it,sometimes it may get corrected sometimes it may not...and it will take more than 1 month or 3...like wise a person in subregister office replied without responsiblity...what to do sir?

Take xerox copies of EC enclose it along with a drafted letter explaining your grievance and send it as RTI enclosing necessary court fee stamps for RTI in your state along with a stamped envelope for their reply and it would be taken care. (RTI- Right to Information )
