Email communication as evedence

is indian law permits email communication as an evedence?
i have communicated with my tenant by email to transfer rent, he agreed to transfer by mail, but he did not transfer. we filed a case for rental recovery, but judge is not accepting email communications. he needs citations on this issue. could anybody help in this regard Please..

There are numerous citations on this point. This is now settled law that e-mails are duly admissible as good evidence. Search citations on indiankanoon.org
