Eligibility in upsc exam if fir is lodged against the candidate

sir, i plan to give civil services exam next year. however a court case of extortion was filed against me notoriously in 2012 in my native on false grounds, fir has been filed after that however not any follow up has been done since then.

can it affect my prospective candidature in the case i clear exam. also what should i do to get the fir quashed?

FIR is no bar for writing competitive exam.

Dont worry about which is not appearing to be a hurdle as of now, proceed with the examinations, get cleared and think about this issue at the time of appointment.

You should not hide the fact if challan has been filed against you.
