Eligibility criteria for payment of gratuity

(Querist) 29 September 2016 This query is : Resolved
Respected Sirs'

I have worked in a Co-op. Bank for 4 years, thereafter I had taken Leave without pay (Authorized leave) for 1 year for completion of my Article ship training. After completion of Article ship I had resumed my duty last year.

Now, the total year of service is six years (including one year leave without pay).

Now my query is whether I am eligible or not to receive the Gratuity if I resign.

Please Advice me in this regard.

Thanks in Advance

RK

Hope the Gratuity rules are as per:

Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972

Confirm.

If yes,you should be eligible.

Approved leave is counted in service.

Any reason for asking the question of eligibility for gratuity, if not left service of the co-op bank?

Agree with the expert Kumar Doab.

Have you left the job? The question of payment shall arise only thereafter.
