defend if you do not want divorce. No attachment found

Beside defending stated case preferred by your husband, file an application under Section 9 of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. There are other things also which you can do like claiming maintenance etc., but since you haven't disclosed full facts, as such, no further advice can be given at this stage.

Well advised by Experts and better now Discuss with Local Good Advocate.Even "Women's Free Legal Aid Forums " Or" Legal Aid Forums " are available in all the Courts. If the Case had been filed by him already a "Transfer Petition " could be filed to Transfer the Case to your Place .

Better you could file the case in your Place immediately since it is two different States U.P.and Uttarakhand/Uttaranchal and if your husband first goes to court of his place then you have to approach only Supreme Court to Transfer the Case to your Place.

Better Act Immediately

If you do not want divorce, oppose his step in court.

Engage some good lawyer.

File maintenance case against him. Can file domestic violence and dowry demand complaints against them.

Meanwhile must try for amicable solution to save the marriage through relatives.
