Being a complicated (legaly) case, you should seek the services of a professional lawyer.

Wait, but not 6 years; only 6 months.
[ Declare now that u r going to keep quite for 6 years]

At present forget it. Just observe peace. no discussion, no action. WAIT & WATCH..

After 6 months, WITH COMMON FRIENDS AND RELATIVES, try , SETTLE THE MATTER,
if not settled, file only DV case, thru Advocate, for mtn, stridhan, child & ur residence..
it will work in ur favour., be peaceful..

I feel urs is a fit case to take action under Domestic Violence Act, which is an effective action for a harassed wife. Keeping quiet even for six months after negotiations have failed does not appear proper. Consider approaching police at the earliest with a written complaint of what all ur in-laws and husband have done to u and ur child. Ask for seizure and return of all ur belongings, apparels, jewelry, mobile phone etc. Police will act immediately. Do not fear to take action under the law, if ur allegations are true.Need not fear to approach the police. They are under strict instructions to act promptly in cases like urs.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate Online (Expert) 23 April 2014
As advised do not rush up with legal actions, allow the time to pass for another six months period, watch the developments, if you find there is no remedy in the anvil, you may consult a lawyer and proceed as per his advise, but better think twice before taking any drastic step.
