Hi I am a Goan married to a Muslim Goan girl but our marriage was not legally registered we both got our nikha nama from a masjid now I want to divorce her I would like to know if she can file a dva against me in the court of goa to take legal action on me the people from our community will give me talakh nama as the religious devorce. Plz help. The girl I have married to had made my life a living hell plz plz do help

Pronounce three Talaqs during 3 successive Iddat periods to divorce your wife.

since your marriage is solemnized under Muslim customs then you can adopt two categories of divorce under the Muslim law:
1.) Extra judicial divorce that is to give talaq or
2.) Judicial divorce that is you can go to the court under Dissolution of Muslim Marriage Act

So that means the Portuguese law which is implemented on the Goan does not applies to my case?
About the alimony I am ready to give her the compensation amount which she Has right to.

Connect to some local goan lawyer, because I believe there is a local law which says the wife is half the owner of the property as per Portuguese Laws which are applicable there ....
