Demand on late filing and late deposit of tds

(Querist) 04 March 2015 This query is : Resolved
I am performing as DDO and got many demands on late filing and short deduction the fault was made by the clerks they have not deducted proper TDS and not presented for the submission of the same.
Further I inform the matter to registrar and director they have denied to deposit the amount and blamed me that its all my fault.
I just wanted to know what may be the consequences for me. I am a diabetic and have hypertension due to these demands I have suffering with deep depression.

So, you are student and also working as a DDO in some organization! In which organisation you are a DDO?
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 05 March 2015
Being DDO it is your responsibility to deduct correctly and deposit the TDS in Government account in time. First consult local tax consultant and deposit the TDS in Government account with interest.

No filing or Late filing of TDS returns or TDS statement shall invite 2 penal consequence.
1.Fee for late filing U/s 234E
2. Penalty for late filing or Non filing of TDS statement U/s 271H.

Respected Ps dingra sir i have posted this query on behalf of my father he is serious.

If you were not a DDO and posted the query on behalf of your father, what was your compulsion to state, "I am performing as DDO"? Sorry, still I believe, it is your academic query.

Better concentrate on your course modules and subject books than misrepresenting yourself on this platform.

Your father should consult with some local tax expert in person and discuss in details about drawals & disbursements and circumstances for default. You cannot get solution on casual type of query.
DILIP KUMAR SHARMA (Querist) 05 March 2015
