Death of mother and name of new mother in 10th certificate

sir,
My mother expired 2 years after I was born. My father remarried and right from my schooling to my college degree my new mother's name is written on each and every certificate. Now while applying for passport they are considering my mother's name which is on my birth certificate and are allotting me ECR status. I tried giving them her death certificate and my father's marriage certificate but was of no help. the Maharashtra education board said that change of mother's name cannot be done. For now i have closed the file and will apply fresh after i get the solution as i have great aspirations for education and jobs in ECR countries like UAE and Singapore.Tried consulting ajents but they also didn't knew bout my case. I am in a deadlock over here please help.

ECR Status depends on your qualification,Age and other related matters regarding ECR Status and your Mother's name is not a Criteria In ECR. Meet the Regional Pass Port Officer in person and get it sorted out.

if you have some professional qualifications you dont need ECR . your mother death and your father remarriage has nothing to do with your ECR status .

Yes ECR status is not related to your mothers name.

You can file suit for change / correction of mothers name in education certificates and on the basis of court order can get the rectification and passport.

thanks for the advise sir.Can I apply for the adoption deed so that my present mother becomes my new mother and get the issue sorted out? is it a possible solution?
