Consent divorce

I would like to know weather court can pass a decree if both,have filed a mutual consent divorce and one petitinor is not ready to attend the court hearings nor he/she is responding to any of the communication media. if yes under which act ?

1. If the petition is filed and later at the stage of second motion if any of the party does not attend the hearing or objects for further proceedings then the court will dismiss the petition.
