Compensation for Accidental death of son

My son aged 23 years was driving his car in the year 2000 (August) from Pondicherry to Bangalore. There were four occupants including him. He had a proper driving licence. The car was hit by a lorry coming in the opposite direction. In the accident, my son and his friend died on the spot near Thindivanam. His friend's parents filed a case immediately at Chennai and got compensation. However, I did not file the case. Can I file a case for Insurance claim now ?

You can file case for compensation if not already done.Consult lawyer who will guide you.

But first consult lawyer whether claim is time barred or not. 18.25 years nearly 1/5 of century passed.
