Clarification regarding registration of fir timings ....

(Querist) 21 May 2015 This query is : Resolved
I am from India. I would like to know, is it mandatory/usual practice on the part of the CBI police to register their FIR with time of registration in 24 hours format rather than 12 hours format?
If yes, what may be the underlying reasons.
Orelse, is there any specific directions/rulings/guideline from Supreme Court of India exists to do so.
Pl. let me know in detail.
Thanking you.

Academic query in the absence of description of any problem.

What does it matter whether it is 12 hrs format or 24 hrs format. This forum is meant to tender legal advice, not to answer the questions. What is your problem?

You have repeated the same query in the forum section as well as to my PM too, seems you are not satisfied with the reply to your academic query(?), discuss your actual problem instead of appearing to be over smart. How is this query affecting you ? whether professionally or otherwise? What do you want to do with the CBI inquiry?
