Cancellation report by police

Fir was registered under section 420 against husband initiated by the wife . Matter compromised and Cancellation report was submitted by the police in the court . Court sent a notice to complainant but the complainant not coming to the court and also not filing any protest petition.Whether court can cancel the fir if yes Please cite any law.

Once the final report is sent to court, the court will send notice to the complainant. If the complainant is having any objection, he can file the protest petition. If he is not filing any protest petition within the time limit, the FIR will be Closed.

Yes if the complainant even of service of notice remains absent the court can pas order in absence of complainant.

If police had submitted its final report in the court then court will send the summons to the complainant if complainant didn't file any protest application nor attend the court within the limitation period then the case will be closed.

court sent the notice to the complainant but not served as she is not available in India . If she is not filing any protest petition within the time limit, the FIR will be Closed.
if the complainant even after the service of notice remains absent from the court can pass order in absence of complainant. My point is
1. what is the limitation to file protest petition and where it is mentioned
ii. if it can be closed cite any authority / law point
