Can organisation terminate an employee from his job ....

I m working with a reputed multinational company as an executive. From some days company has started to terminate the employee under manpower reduction. Company is giving some benifits like 30 months basic to the terminated employee and giving one month notice for searching job. Company targeting high salaried and most experienced peoples. Can organisation do so. If so can we appeal against this. So many employees are facing . Pls help

The company has offered a deal of compensation also, which can be reasonable or not reasonable as per your own perception.
If you wish you can negotiate better deal that would suit you and it might be possible.

The employers and IT's attorney's in Line Management/Legal cells/HR etc are known to agree and settle such matters amicably.

You have talked about the high salaried and most experienced people, but from your query, its nature and language used for description clearly reveals as if the problem does not relate to any high salaried and most experienced employee, rather a novice has tried to exaggerate the event of termination by posting such a vague query instead of narrating his real problem for solution.

By the way, what is your status in the MNC with how much experience in your profession and also how high is your salary?

The persons who are facing are executives. Salary ranges from 6 to 10 lacs ctc with experience from 5 to 15 years

Consult a local lawyer practicing service matters with the terms and conditions of your appointment for proper analyses, guidance and proceeding.
Generally the employer is well within his rights to reduce manpower to curtail its expenses due to various internal reasons.

That clearly denotes that you don't have even a remote concern with the problem, if there is even a bit of reality in your statement.

SO, FOR WHAT SPECIFIC PURPOSE YOU HAVE ASKED THIS HYPOTHETICAL QUERY, WHEN THERE IS NO SUCH PROBLEM FOR YOU?

Do you have any specific problem, if the company is paying huge amount equivalent to 30 months' (2 & 1/2 years') salary to the retrenched employees without taking any work from them?
