Can a public ltd company join a political party

Dear Experts

I would like to present one case study of mine friend kindly advice on the same.

1) He is working with 1 Of leading pharma compnay.
2) Companies hidden policy it that " does not allow a person to work for more than 5-7 years."
3) For it companies managment use transfer,demotions and keep on promotioning younger population over older employees.
(4) My friend is working since last 11 years. Within a span of 4 years he became zoanl manager and worked at H.Office level for 2 years.
(5) Further compnay abolished this designation and reassigned him at field in lower position.
(6) Some managers like him left jobs due to transfer,demotions.
(7) But being a family responsibility he decided to stick with the given position.
(8) In last 5 years he demoted as a area manager, transferred trice from Mumbai to navimumbai, Navimumbai to Kolhapur and now Kolhapur to Ratnagiri.
(9)Management kept him giving different divisions during this span of working.
(10) As the peple who were junior and reporting to him now get promoted 2 levels above him.
(11) Because of 11 years experience he has now getting good salary which he will not get in any other pharma company.
(12)Managment as per rules can not halt his salary increament but did not giving him any promotion.
(13)By doing this management pulling his moral down.
(14)The people with detoriated communication,writting skills and less educated getting promotions based on favorism.
(15) His activites are not highliged at Upper level.
(16)Since last 5 years he is fighting with such demoralizing situation which is imposed on him by managment.
(17)At every transfer place he got 1 vilian in management who has halted his growth.
(18) Now he want to join any political party as a part time basis which he feels will improve his mental satisfaction.
(19) He thinks that such joining with political parties will weaken managments stratergies at leat he will be in confident mode with having a positions of District President in a political parties.
(20) He dont think that company will give him further promotin at all.
(21)Being a polite employee he never opposed to tranfer ,demotions and change in departments.
(22) We would like to know does any law prohibit employee to join a political party.

The title of your question (about company) is quite different than that of the background contents (about employee of the company) you discussed in your query.

Further, when your friend has not tried even to read conduct and discipline rules of his service during the whole of his service of 11 years, how you can expect that he is aware of his service rules, including the promotional processes and how you can blame that his superiors are responsible for his demotion or non-promotion?

Still further, your statement, "He thinks that such joining with political parties will weaken managments stratergies at leat he will be in confident mode with having a positions of District President in a political parties," is quite strange. The question arises, how he can expect to catch hold of the position of District President at his very induction stage in the party, as a primary member that too when you state that he is a polite employee and he never opposed to tranfer, demotions and change in departments?

From all these aspects, your query seemed to be just a vague and hypothetical query. If he could not make any dent within the company for even a single promotion by dint of his performance, how he can be expected to get hold of and maintain the position of a District Secretry and to further expect to weaken the management?

However, if it is a real case of your friend, better ask him to consult in person some service law expert to guide and advice him after going through all his service related documents, results of his his performance appraisal and the story narrated by him in person.

Dear Sir,

It is not a case study its real situation.Why he is quite and not opposing to the management because managment want him to catch at any fault. Once when he opposed for transfer that time superior said we have only this option for you otherwise you can take the descision. It means on opposing to any transfer company managment indirectly says to leave the organization.

He is well aware of all promotional policies as being worked at Highest managment post earlier. Appointment letter says that employee can engage himself at social activities.

How do you say its hypothetical.Its reality ofpresent pharma industry. Where many employes youngester during age of 22 to 28 and pressurize them to leave the organization.

Peple like him can not leave becaues of the family responsibilities,dues of home loans which he taken on the trust of organization.

At this age of 36 years and because of increased package no company takes such a candidate.

As i mentioned earlier companies policy is to expell out candidate after 30 years.Proof of this is company does not have a single person who has grown his hair white.
