My question is whether in a case, a prosecution witness can also be a defence witness?
What if the 313 Statement is also done?

it is not an academic query experts. it is a real case. my question is whether a person who has been a prosecution witness in a case, where his chief examination, cross examination, is done, can the defence lawyer examine him as a defence witness as well? i know it is too late to examine him now as for cross examination is also done? i just wanted to ask whether the defence lawyer examine him as defence witness or not?

State detail facts of the case, it will be better to get best advise.
when a person is a prosecution witness and crossed by the opposite then what are the reason on on what ground the defense want to know through him/her.
it may be possible after permission of the court.
defense lawyer can not be witness himself

Ms. Kajal,
Probably you know better than the experts as to what types of queries are academic queries and what real problems.
Better concentrate on your course material, as the query clearly reveals, as if it pertains to your law school exercise to be solved by you, as a studnt.
However, if it is real case and you feel any problem, first of all you have to clarify, what concern you have with the case?
Secondly, if you have any concern with the case and you want any help from experts, why are you shy to state the background & other facts of the case and on what specific ground you are compelled to make prosecution witness as your defence witness?

In a very complicated case, even Prosecution for the State can be made Defense witness, as an expert on the subject, provided the Court agree and the State Prosecution is willing to be witness on the subject to testify the same.
