Can Visa be granted if divorce case proceedings in court

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 18 July 2018 This query is : Resolved
Hi All,

I am about to file divorce case in court. I want to travel to foreign for official purpose for few months. Will my visa b denied in case my divorce proceedings are in court? Do I need to take any permission from court to travel out of country? My visit is not expected to be more than 3-6 Months.

Thanks

visa is to be decided by the country which you want to visit (which you are not even revealing) as per their law and policy (not of Govtof India ).

Not being a criminal case, divorce proceedings alone cannot impact the grant of visa.

Divorce cases are all civil in nature, however after filling civil divorce case by husband, the wife may file criminal complaint case against the husband and try her best to get his passport revoked or impounded through court order. If such thing happens , even if visa is provided by the foreign country, the Indian citizen without passport won't be able to travel out of country.
