Buying and convertion of st land

Hello experts,

Need help!! There is an offer to buy an st land. And I have specific questions:
1. Is it possible for st certificate holder to convert st land to DC?
2. What information to look for before purchasing if the above is possible.

If u can tell me more about risks it would be great.

Generally permission to sale the land to general category to ST category person is provided, however, it depends.

dont purchase the property unless permission for conversion is granted . better play safe before parting with your hard earned money

Do not purchase the property. It is for the seller to obtain the permission. The restriction is to protect the ST landholders and normally no such permissions are granted in ordinary course.

You can take opinion after the DC conversion of the ST land takes place from a local advocate for buying the same.
