Dear Sir/madam,
Greetings!
Please let me know if there is any license issued by indian law for doing Real Estate Business in Mumbai?
If yes please let me know the full detailed procedure for applying the same.

Real Estate is benign item of trade & commerce. You are not required to take out a licence unless thereis specific requirement of law.

No such License or Permit required to do Real Estate Business.

In this business, each and every transaction is a separate contract and governed by Contract Act and Sale of Goods Act (Also by ToP Act)

So, no license is required.

If you are going to have any office for this you have to register this under shop and establishment act.

As such you are acting only as a consultant, for the buyer and seller. for this you need not have any license.

Real estate is a consulting business. If you intend to do it under a name and banner, you may register your company, no license is required for this.
