Appeal against acquittal of accused

Sir the accused in a complaint u/s 138 of NI Act filed by me has been acquitted from the charges of the offence and we want to file appeal against the order.Where the appeal would lie wheather in Sessions court or in High Court ?

Sir today I have enquired from the superintendant and other officials in sessions court Kullu H.P and they are saying appeal against conviction in NI Act are entertained by session court and appeal against acquittal are entertained by Hon'ble High Court of Himachal Pradesh.
