Ancestral property

(Querist) 27 April 2015 This query is : Resolved 
my name is amit, my father disowned( bedhakal) me via news paper under influence of my step mom.
my question: Can father bedhakal me from both farming and housing property (ghar and gher) . The property is pure ancestral property as my great grandfather was a land lord of the village . can my father will the whole property to my step mom or his son,
the property is farming land of 20 bighas and a ghar and gher in village

The alleged disowning does not affect your settled rights in the ancestral property.

Contact a local lawyer and issue a notice to partition the ancestral property and allot you with your share in it, if he still denies, file a suit against him.

Your great grand father was a landlord of the village is of no relevance to decide whether the property is "ancestral" or not.

You have to indicate as to in which year your great grand father died.
