I was adopted in 1971 from Shishu bhawan New Delhi. I only have an affidavit on a two rupee stamp paper and no other birth certificate. Was adopted by a British single woman and baptised in 1973 . I would like to know if there is any way I could get my birth certificate .

Whether any date of birth mentioned in your educational certificates and other identity documents.

Whether the Shishu Bhawan Delhi having any record regarding date of birth.

If no record is available with them, can get the late registration of the birth based on educational / other documents through Magistrate orders and can get the certificate.

If there is NO basic record of DOB e.g; entry in register of village chowkidar, birth certificate issued by Registrar of Births,.................then DOB in education certificates is accepted as DOB.................
