Address verification objection on passport

(Querist) 22 October 2016 This query is : Resolved
Hi experts...

Can you please tell me if it is possible to travel abroad as tourist with a passport having police address verification remarks or objection.
Will this create any problem in immigration in India or in the destination country.

Thanks in advance
Shubhrika

Actually this objection is on my Fiance's passport which we got to know recently. He has travelled abroad with that passport twice in past but nothing happened.
Though we have checked with passport enquiry office and they confirmed that there is house shift remark against that passport in the system by the police.
The passport is not held by authority & it is there with him. We have very less time left to our travel and that is why we are not sure whether to initiate the address change procedure or travel with the same passport or cancel our tickets at all.

Please give your advice on this situation.
Thanks

You being a student, your query does not seem to be a real query, but an academic query.

The question arises, when you checked with the passport enquiry officer, why could not you make sure "whether to initiate the address change procedure or travel with the same passport or cancel our tickets at all"?

I am a post graduate student...getting married next month & wanted to travel with my husband. The problems which I mentioned here is related to my husband's passport. I just wanted some help to sought it out.
But if the problem doesn't seem real...then we will find a way out anyways. Thanks for replying anyways.

P.S. Enquiry officer at passport office with a huge queue in front of him...doesn't have the patience to resolve all my queries & doubts.

Thanks & regards

Your would be husband could have asked through RTI, which is compulsory to be replied.

If not interested, take help of some local lawyer. Otherwise, even if you get reply to your query, how you expect that to solve the problem at the passport office, if not tried personally and kept pace with the patience of the officials of that office?
