About notice policy in service industry

(Querist) 17 March 2017 This query is : Resolved
Dear All,

This is the story:

An employee resigns and ready to serve 3 month's notice period as per company's policy. All of sudden after completion of two months of notice that employee receives an email (when he was on leave) that after two days he will be relieved from his job and it is management's decision. In this case that emplyee is liable to take his third month's salary and other benefits?

Kumar Doab (Expert) 18 March 2017
Generically speaking: Yes.

You may show the service conditions inserted in appointment letter to your very able counsel specializing in Labor/service matters at your location.

What can be done if management does not want to pay the compensation for that third month?
Kumar Doab (Expert) 25 March 2017
Gently point out the errors in FnF statement and gently mention it is not accepted due to errors.

Gently write to good offices of appointing authority, MD under proper acknowledgment.
Prompt them to reply.

Let them reply whatever they want.

Remain gentle and amiable.
