If Prosecution declares it's witness hostile​, then what is the credibility of such witness. How can be it used for the benefit of accused.

Fact of the case is that Prosecution has shown 13 witness , out of Prosecution called 10 pws who deposed statement in front of Court.
One Pw was not called by Prosecution after that the counsel of complainant submitted an application for calling of said Pw which was accepted by court & Pw was called when Pw deposed his statement in Court, Prosecution along with complainant counsel declared his hostile, because his version didn't suited them. how can be it used for benefit of accused
