The World IP Day is commemorated on the date on which the Convention establishing World intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was originally entered into force in 1970. The objective of World IP Day is to raise awareness about intellectual property rights, to celebrate creativity and contribution made by creators and innovators to the development of societies across the globe and to encourage respect for IP rights.
In the event of the World IP Day, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), in association with Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India & Intellectual Property Office, is organizing a
“Conference on National IP Policy” on 26th April, 202,
at Federation House, Tansen Marg, New Delhi.
The “National IP Policy” aims to lay down the vision for the future of the country for development in the field of IPR. The National IP Policy enables to gain a strong socioeconomic foundation and international trust.
The objective of the Conference is to gain industry consensus on the need and the broad contours of the National IP Policy for India and to listen to best practices followed by other countries in this regard.
The Conference will be attended by government officials, lawyers, industry, academicians, etc.
